Joelle 8 Months

We are so in love with our baby girl who is growing right before our eyes. I seriously just stare at her all day and smile. Such a beauty.
The past month she started saying her first words "dada" and "hi dad". She says it to anyone...you don't have to be her dad haha. And she also started waving with her entire arm flapping and saying "hiiii". Especially when I pick her up onto my hip and start walking. So so cute.
She learned how to pick up bits of food and put them in her mouth by herself. After she gets a piece in she will grin and clap while we say "yay!!". She drinks 7 oz bottles about every 4 hours during the day and none at night. She loves to try anything we are eating and eats pureed food like a champ.
She takes two decent naps now if we are home and she can be in her crib, but if we are out for the day she only cat naps and takes 3-4 of them. She sleeps from around 7:30/8:00pm to around 8:00am. And we love her so much for that! She loves to sleep on her tummy and with her loves by her face. She doesn't like to be held when she is tired (which makes traveling with her on airplanes rather fun...)
This lucky lady went on 4 airplanes the past month and was a stinker and a trooper all in one.
a rare moment she fell asleep in my arms at home
She gets so excited her little body just can't handle it and she full on grunts while tightening her arms, face, and abs. She squeals and then just basically sounds like she is trying to poop! Its hilarious. She especially does it when the bunny is out. She loves her! She gets so excited if she thinks someone is trying to play hiding/chasing games with her. Whenever I walk her down or up the stairs and Zach is near by, she is constantly whipping her head back and forth trying to find him and squeal and laugh. she also gets so excited watching her brothers play crazy around her.
She started bathing siting up on her own and can now more easily join her brothers.
She started getting up on her hands and knees and is trying to hard to figure out how to move forward. It usually results in her sliding backwards. She can plank better than I can :)
She is a mamma's girl. She loves me to hold her or just be in her sight. If I have to put her down and walk away or out of the room it often ends in a full on drama moment. Bawling. This girl is drama! She can be wailing with real tears streaming down her face one minute, then you give her some attention and she's giggling the next.
all the rolls
She started sitting in the cart without her carseat and gets so giggly and smiley when she sits. She loves it!
