The Thanksgiving Blizzard

Any of you reading this from Utah are aware of the blizzard that hit yesterday. Life was basically closed or cancelled from 3pm on. I even got a half day of teaching at the Elementary school because of it! It looked just like we were in a snowglobe--soo pretty! I got home before it started and there were the coolest icicles on our railing. Check it out...

Most sane people would be a little cautious about driving in such weather. Some highways were even shut down. But when Zach got home from work he was seriously a gitty little boy. He kept saying how fun it was to drive. He could not wipe the grin off his face. Several times during dinner, he would just start giggling and when I asked what was so funny he would say how it's just so fun to watch how freaked out people were on the road. He insisted several times that we HAD to get back out there after dinner. SO, we made a trip to Lee's grocery store so my excited husband could keep enjoying his thrill. It was seriously so funny to see his face! Luckily we have a big 4 wheel drive truck or else I would not have been okay with this plan. We stopped at a church parking lot to do donuts of course!

This picture is when the blizzard had just started. It's easy to tell which way the wind was blowing!! Haha by the end of the night that was at least 7 inches sticking off the right side of my car. It looked so funny!
