14 Months

I feel like it's hard to track their growth now that all the big physical milestones have been met. Now it's just little personality quirks, facial expressions, new words, etc. that we gradually see each day.

Walking: Jack and Eli are both official walkers. Jack walked confidently for a couple weeks before Eli finally gave in. It's almost like he just needed to see Jack do it and how much fun it looked like then he was trying to copy him all the time until he got it. They both now walk laps around our kitchen island all day it seems. They often chase each around the island and giggle as they explore playing in this new way. Their little steps are just so cute to watch and their big cheeks bounce up and down with each one. I love how Eli side steps like a crab when he has to get around something. They love walking in new places with more open spaces than our little home. At church, the foyer and halls are heaven for them and the love to explore. It is so fun for us to see them side by side toddling around!! I always loved imagining what this would look like and now it's here and it's so fun.
Sleep: Going to bed around 7:00/7:30pm. Waking up between 7:00/7:30am. Take a morning nap around 10:00. Most days they still take a late afternoon nap around 3:00. When I'm home on the weekends I've been trying to see if they can do without the afternoon nap and they've done totally fine. So I think that one is going to disappear within the next month. They both love to cuddle after waking up from naps and we both are suckers for it. Eli started messing with the blinds by his crib constantly so Zach moved their cribs together away from the windows.
Eli got part of his shirt off one day.

Favorites: Balls-both can throw pretty well now and Jack has started to say "go" when we count off to throw. Swinging-we will miss warm enough weather to get out there. Cars-both love driving cars around the kitchen and making car noises. Stuffed animals-still love to cuddle/hug/kiss anything squishy and loveable. Books-both now will throw a book at you if they want it read to them. They demand we read every book on the shelf in their room before going to bed by reach out with their arms and saying "uh.uh.uh.uh.uh...". Music-both dance and sway to singing, songs on the tv, on our phones, or their toys. Bath time-they love to splash and make each other laugh during baths. They 'wash' each other when I get out the shampoo and love to scare me to death by standing ALL the time in the tub. Towels-they love to put them around the back of the neck like a scarf or on top of their head and waddle around or play peek-a-boo with them.
They can now get up on this step and sit and play.
Caught Jack sharing a ball with Eli. This is rare and I loved seeing it.
Don't like: Vacuums-they cry when we even open the closet it's in. Blender-they cry when I try to make anything with it. Sitting still/being quiet in church-it's near impossible and we are counting down the days till we can take them to nursery and run away.
Jack got stuck in the walker poor kid. Zach was a nice enough dad to take a picture before helping him.
Words: "hi" or "hey" is said about a million times a day. They say it to anyone at the store, church, when we get out a phone, when we enter a room, etc. (Yet they still have really shy and nervous moments around unfamiliar people. It's a weird contrast) "go" for Jack when we are throwing things. "nana" for banana when we ask them to say it. "mo" for more when eating. "mom" and "dad". Mostly we hear "uh uh" all the time along with pointing to express what they want. It's so cool to see them understanding us more and more. They will crawl upstairs when we tell them to go to bed or to get in the tub.
The face of "Hiiii"
Photo Dump:

Eli plays in this position a lot with one knee up.
Jack will walk over and pose in this corner for me to take a picture. It's hilarious.
 Eli will do it too.
Jack posing purposefully when I asked him to. He loves wearing hats.
 Eli feeling the warm oven.
We got winter coats. They looked so funny walking around in them.
Trying on a hat from the hospital as a newborn.
Sitting at the desks in my classroom.
 Taught them how to "clean".
Eli did this for a few days when eating haha
