The 'river crossing'...we were happy it wasn't anything more adventurous than this.
I thought it would be really fun to step in some deep mud and cover my entire shoe...jk it wasn't on purpose. But it definitely happened!
My cute husband with a stache full of crumbs from lunch. Can't really see it in the picture but it was pretty funny.
"Round Lake". It was round.
Emily and I had some moments. Not really sharable on the blog but we thought we were pretty funny. We entertained the fam with lots of singing on the way back down. I'm sure they didn't mind :)
Zach taking a rest before our hike back down.
Birthday boy with his favorite daughters!
We were a little hyper. This picture cracks me up. Poor parents.
Present time with dad was a hoot. Oh my goodness opening presents is definitely not as entertaining with anyone else in the family. He would pose for a picture with every single present. And as you can see he would wear the wrapping-which happened to be bows and grocery sacks this year :) We love you dad! And sorry but I couldn't remember if you requested these not to be on the blog...They are just too good to skip!
Dad also got to do another favorite activity for his birthday which is looking at the stars. He got some sweet pictures.
We went on four wheeler rides. Pretty pretty
Braden joined us on Sunday and wanted to take a swim in the lake. It looked freezing and was freezing but that didn't stop him. Brave boy.
The family also enjoyed being with the horses in the field across from us.
Monday morning Zach helped my dad chop wood to get ready for the winter, and we also worked on repainting the front stairs. Too bad we ran out of paint though so it didn't get done.
It was a great weekend with the fam. Zach and I were talking about our favorite parts in bed last night and both decided that the food was near the top! Scones with honey butter, taco salad, steak and dutch oven potatoes, burgers from Dicks, and meals at our fav restaurant near the cabin. Zach got shrimp there and it ended up being flooded in garlic. Each piece had like a full clove chopped up on it. He reeked of garlic the rest of the weekend. After washing himself and thoroughly brushing his teeth several times, it still was so strong. The smell filled our room during the night and when my mom came out of her room into the living room she even said, "Do I smell garlic?" Poor kid. Luckily the smell has died down and he just has his normal Zach smell back :)

your cabin looks like so much fun! love you!
