We are excited to see what new things are in store for us in 2012!
We spent New Years with my family which is also my mom's birthday. She turned 49! The planning of her 50th birthday can begin :) We all went to Sherlock Holmes 2 in the morning, then to lunch at the Blue Lemon in Salt Lake. I loved the food and can't wait to go back. Yummy sandwiches and salads. My mom is a babe and love her so much. It was fun to celebrate with her.

Braden in his boot...
Last week, he decided to get hit by a car. Not a joke. And I'm not talking his car getting hit by a car, I mean his body getting hit a car. He lives in the Avenues of Salt Lake and one night was walking home with his groceries. He started walking across at a cross walk and then noticed a car was coming and he could tell they didn't see him. So he waited in the middle of the road for it to pass. While he was waiting, another car in the lane he was now standing in got him on the side of his body. It was such a blessing that the car was only going the speed limit of 25mph, that there were some doctors on the side of road already there who helped him from the first minute, and that he was only minorly injured. He had to get a few stiches on his eyebrow, and wear a boot on his ankle that may have a hairline fracture. But other than that and a whole bunch of soreness/stiffness the past week, he just had to stay one night in the hospital and then was on his way. Scary to think about a different result that could have happened...
The rest of the night we played Quirkle, played Kinect, and watched a movie. Zach and I woke up early the next day to make it to our church in time where we got to teach our first Sunbeam lesson. We loved getting to meet our cute 3 year olds and being in Primary. It's going to be such a fun calling to have.
