18 Months

Stats: Jack weighs 29 pounds (96%), height is 31 3/4 inches (30%), and head measurement is 19 inches (75%). Eli weighs 27.4 pounds (92%), height is 31 3/4 inches (30%), and head measurement is 18 1/2 inches (40%).
Jack in gray/Eli in blue. Jack's poses for me were hilarious and Eli was much more interested in his trains.
Clothes/diapers: They are in size 5 diapers. 2T shirts fit best, but they can squeeze into some 18 month and are wearing some 3T. They wear 18 month pants. Shoe size 6.
Words: New 'words' the past month are "papa" for grandpa or any older looking man (always done with a whisper), "Jesus", "shoe", "shhhh" when someone is sleeping and finger up to their lips, "me me" which is binky, "ack ack" for quack, "oh no" when they are messy, spill things on the floor, or break something, "yummy" or 'yum mum". They will also sometimes try to say their own name and know who they are if you ask who is who. And the word "baby" now has a rocking arm motion with it that melts my heart.
Eating: Anyone who watches them for us is amazed (or concerned haha) at how much they eat. They are constantly hungry and wanting more at meal times. They've gotten really good at using forks now but not at spoons. They also still struggle with cups if the don't have a lid. We give them a cup of milk in the morning which they still love. Some favorite foods of theirs are: teddy grahams, bananas, oranges, yogurt, jam sandwiches, cheese, sweet potato fries, green beans, quinoa/rice, pasta, and recently green smoothies.

Sleep: Still good sleepers but gradually sleeping less hours dang it. Going to bed around 7:30pm and are wide awake around 7:00 ish. Some days earlier some days a little later. Luckily they just play and entertain each other for a long time in the morning until we get them out closer to 8:00. Their nap also seems to be shortening. The past few days especially. Sometimes they can make it until noon to go down but other days they are ready soon after 11:00. They sleep for sometimes 1 hour and sometimes close to 2 but that is becoming more rare now. They definitely wake each other up sometimes which can shorten a nap. But as I write this, Jack is talking away in his crib slamming his pillow around and Eli is right next to him still zonked out. It's funny how they can do that!
Focus: I feel like the past month they gained more attention to detail and ability to concentrate on an activity. Jack especially will sit and focus learning how to use a toy for a long period of time. They love to stack small items and are really good at it! They also love to line up trains and cars.
Cuddles and loves: We love how lovey Eli is. He is our snuggler for sure. But they both give the best hugs and kisses. Little arms wrapped tight around your neck is the best feeling! They also blow kisses when you leave.
Play Together: For the most part they play really well together. They are aware of if they both have toys to use and share as they play. But they also spend a lot of time getting on each other's nerves. If there is only one toy and they both want it, they will fight over it. They love alone time (meaning no adults, just brothers) in the upstairs toy room. We can shut the door and they will play alone in there for an hour at a time just content not to be bothered.
Physical activity: They are both great at running now! They have started running down hills more confidently although it's still a little tricky. Jack has the best run where he picks his legs up so high and bounces as he runs. Both starting to become good climbers.
Jack got his first real owey catching his fall with the corner of a metal door. Ouch.
Outside: They are happiest when they are outside. They love to walk by themselves rather than be in the stroller. They love going to our little park. They love seeing ducks and birds.
The first time we did bubbles with them Eli loved it and Jack was terrified. He was so interested and wanted us to keep doing it but he did not want them to come near him. It was too funny.
 They love pushing the stroller
Emily took some photos of the boys as they played at the park and I love what she captured!
