Splash pads, pool time, library

Another week of summer fun! With Zach not having a very heavy schedule for summer, we have so many opportunities to get out of the house and go do something. This week we went to the splash pad in Hyrum (Salt Hollow Park) two times. Once with just us and once with the Macdonalds (Jaime, Scott, and their son Corey who is one month younger than our boys). The boys love the firetruck there the best I think. It's such a fun park!
Eli was so good at sharing his snacks with Cory. And even feeding him haha
Jaime and I always joke that they could be brothers. The blondest hair and blue eyes. Love it.
Whenever we can, we try to find ourselves at the pool at least a few times a week. Zach and I even went around 9:30pm for the last half hour before it closed one night. It was still 77 degrees outside and it was so fun! With it literally being outside our doorstep I felt totally safe with the boys sleeping inside and one of our phones in their room on the line with our other phone by the pool. We played a few games of 500 and watched a lightning storm in the distance.
Eli's classic lounge position. You know he's content when he has his arms up.
We took the boys to the Hyrum Library for the first time. It was really neat with huge windows along the wall, bins of kid books they can roam through, little chairs and tables, etc. We enjoyed our time there until the boys got really mad over a toy they wouldn't share with each other and we had too book it out of there.
A Jamba Juice lightened their moods quick enough. They looked like cute big boys sitting by the window drinking away.
Also took lots of little trips to the park and had our weekly TECS playgroup. This time at Willow Park. Still forgetting to take pictures of that!
One thing that's new about summer for us is getting ready for the day. With work, I'm always ready before the boys wake up. But now we've gotten into a fun routine where the boys watch me get ready.  They sit up on the counter by me and love watching me do my makeup and hair. They mimic me in the mirror. It's so cute! They use the brushes on their cheeks and use their finger on their face like putting on concealer (yes I still cover zits at the age of 26...sigh)
