The beach is really rocky but they still got to play around with shovels and pails.
They loved sitting on the jet skis and pretending to drive them. Then they got brave enough to let me take them on a few rides. Jack loved it and Eli didn't mind it.
After naps and dinner we took a walk at Smith and Morehouse. They were so proud to be throwing rocks and sticks into the water and were so cute celebrating after each throw.
They continue to be OBSESSED with Nana.
And learned that Jake isn't too bad either when they can beat him up.
Saturday we went to the Rec Center to play at the pool. I took them on the big adult slide this time and they actually loved it. Had to take them tens of times to please them. They are such water babies. (no pics, only GoPro videos). After swimming we got burgers and it was way too crowded. Em also made us yummy red, white, and blue dessert.
We all were extremely patriotic in our outfits and had to take some pictures of course. I was pretty proud of my DI outfit and Zach's shirt was just as equally as ridiculous. I loved it!
Zach, me, Em, and Jake went to the Oakley Rodeo while my awesome parents put the kids to bed and watched a movie together at the cabin. They were so nice to let us go out in their place! We were excited and had a blast pretending we belonged at such an event (we don't...). We had no idea it was going to pour on us though! The weather changed all of a sudden shortly after it started and we sat in the freezing rain for over an hour with no coats or umbrellas. Still had so much fun but we couldn't pretend much after 9:30pm and we called it quits and went home. Such a bummer because I was really looking forward to watching fireworks afterward :(
he seriously is a crack up sometimes
One of the best 4th's we've had! We feel so blessed to live in such a amazing country where we can be free.
