Elf Party

The grandkid Christmas party this year was all about Elves. They all got Elf ears to put on when they got there and started on making ornaments. The mixture was made from glue, applesauce, and cinnamon and it smelt so yummy. They all cut out several of them and we dried them in the oven to take home at the end. They loved being little elves hard at work.

Then they went on an elf hunt. Some elves were lost from the North Pole and they had to find them hidden around the house and name them. They loved racing around trying to be the first ones done.

While they were telling each other about their hunt, the phone rang and it was Santa! Usually Santa comes to the party, but this year he got stuck in a snow storm (aka had knee surgery and couldn't do it this year). He was so nice to call and talk to each of them personally on speaker phone. They all are such believers!

Then they watched an elf movie while they took turns dressing up for a little elf photo shoot. So cute :)
It's so fun for Zach and I to get to help out with this party every year! We love these kids.
