Christmas Day

Since we are all big kids :) we didn't open presents until 9am. My parents surprised Zach and I with a Nikon camera and we are so excited to have something nice to use for out future! Best surprise ever.
At 10:30 we got an even better gift--getting to Skype with our favorite missionary! It was so nice to see his face, hear his voice, and feel like we were hanging out for a while. We are so proud of our brother and already looking forward to get to hug him again in August.
Zach looking cute in his new christmas clothes.

By noon we headed back to Logan to continue christmas with the Johnsons! The canyon was so beautiful with all the fresh snow.
It was so fun to see the kids so excited coming in about what Santa brought them that morning. They are so cute. We did all the kid gifts first and played around with them for a while. Lots of awesome nerf guns, marble tracks, and baby dolls of course. Then we did the adult gifts and chatted while the kids played.
Then we had Hunter read Luke 2 while the kids dressed up and acted out the nativity. They seriously looked so cute!

Hunter played some christmas songs for us on the cello and I played some christmas songs to sing to.
We ate a birthday cake for Jesus and prepared our lanterns! We started this tradition last year and we love it. As individual families, we write gifts we want to give Jesus this year on our family lantern then send them up into the sky.
We played some more games after coming inside. I wrapped up boxes within boxes and if you rolled a 1 then you had to put on oven mitts to open as much as you could until the next person rolled a one. The person who unwrapped the whole thing got to keep it. It ended up being really fun but I didn't take any pictures. We also played a new dice game we all got called Tenzi while some of the kids played their new lego game called Creationary.
