Zach made it to Calgary safe and sound. And excited to, as he sent me a text saying, "I'm Canadian now!" when he got through the border. It was a late night waiting for everyone to get back from selling before getting to figure out the apartment details, a trip to Walmart, then learning his room won't be ready until mid next week :( So he is sleeping on the floor in one of the single guy's apartments while he waits for a place of his own. Kind of a bummer but Zach doesn't seem to mind. The first day he shadowed Neil the whole time and got to see him put in a few sales-which is great to see how the whole process works. Today he is out by himself for the first time...and in a blizzard. He had to go buy a better coat this morning because he didn't pack for that kind of weather. Just got to talk to him for a few seconds as he waited for a ride to lunch and he's soaked, but it at least has been helping people feel more sympathetic and opening their doors for him :)
My family came for a sleepover last night! They were kind enough to bring me an extra car I can use and my mom's lap top. They are life savers for real! We visited Grandma Jo, ate at Pita Pit, and watched We are Marshall. I loved having them be here to keep me company. Today we helped do some spring cleaning and prepping for summer at Grandma and Grandpa Christensen's. So thankful for family looking out for me and keeping me busy. I also already managed to break the garage door... where it would have come in handy to have a Zach to then proceed to fix it. Luckily a nieghbor man was out at the same time who took pity on me and used his man skills to make the door work again.
