Memorial Weekend

Saturday we got to start the celebrations in honor of Zach's birthday. I got us Real soccer tickets for his gift and we ended up inviting my family to come along since they'd never been to a game. We all went to dinner to Zach's choice; Joe's Crab Shack. Lots of seafood that unfortunately I couldn't taste because of my cold.
Then we watched Real Salt Lake play Chicago. We sat directly facing the sun for most of the game until it went down. At least it wasn't raining on us. They tied 1-1.
Sunday we went to Christian Walter's farewell who will be serving in Hong Kong. Then we met up with Zach's parents and all headed to the cabin for some relaxation time. We were so happy they could come join the fun! I didn't take enough pictures, but we had a yummy steak dinner, took a drive, played some games, watched the show North America, chatted, lounged, made dessert paninis, made birthday cake popcorn, and watched the boys kayak in Smith and Morehouse Reservoir. Cabin time is always the best.
Us spectators freezing in the chilly wind.
They got a little wet. These boys need to learn how to not pee their pants.
After returning to the cabin, one of the kayaks fell off the roof of our car and completely broke off our mirror. Fun times!
