Hawaii: Sunset Beach

We stayed on sunset beach. Like I said, it is more of a surfer beach with bigger waves. One night a neighbor stopped by to warn us that there might be an evacuation warning one night because a storm surge was coming in during high tide in the middle of the night. He told he thought our house would be fine so not to worry too much. My dad slept in the living room that night to make sure all was well--and it was. But house next to us got damaged :( One had their deck completely gone and the foundation under their house starting to go. So sad.

The last few days were calmer and we got to spend more time relaxing on the beach and the boys/emily were brave enough to play in the waves. It was too strong for my taste (I'm such a wimp. Seriously)
