Day 7-Traveling to Brasov/Shopping

Friday morning we packed up and took another maxi taxi to Brasov. We stopped at the office to say our goodbye to the staff. These ladies do so much work here for the kids.

The drive was so pretty with green rolling hills, horses pulling carts on the side of the road, colorful little houses and towns, etc. We had our favorite Europe snack for the road--kinder eggs!

We stopped on the side of the road to get this treat. They roll dough around a pin then coat it with sugar and put it over fire. It was delish.

We got to Brasov and settled into our hotel Casa Wagner. It was amazing! Right in the middle of this big plaza and the rooms were so cute/unique/old/and full of character.

We visited the Black Church which was such a relief from the scorching 100 degree weather.

Then we spent the rest day shopping around. Dad loved it :) Mers and I got matching bracelets and of course had to get more gelato as well.

We met up with the BYU girls and the other volunteers for dinner at a restaurant everyone says to go to when in Brasov. It was so fun to see the girls again! We hung out by the fountain in the big plaza after dinner and got gelato..again. The streets and plazas are packed at night. Even little kids. I love the atmosphere of it! (don't have any pics though)
